Emma Peel
Second and by far the most popular of John Steed's female companions. Less sexy than Cathy Gale and more married than Tara King, yet her deft karate chops and banter with Steed are what many people remember best about the series. Her name is alleged to derive from M (for Masculine) Appeal, but I don't believe a word of it. Do you?
